Long fingers pulled at the loose threads around the edges of a pair of light cut off skinnies. Jared sat, staring at the small television that was stuffed in the corner of his lounge room. Ever since he turned this room had seemed much too small, he was thinking of doing some renovations but Eloise had foiled most of his plans before the sledge hammer out. Dark eyes flicked to the dent in the wall above the TV, he had fixed it the best he could, but it still annoyed his mother. This weekend Eloise was in San Francisco attempting to sell some pieces of her art, it littered the house, hanging from walls, molded into door stops, stuck in pot plants. Jared often wondered if he would ever be able to live in a house that wasn’t cluttered with art, if he ever got out of this house, it wasn’t like there was anywhere else to go in LaPush.
Jared flicked through the channels carelessly, the pack was doing its own thing today, so with Eloise out of town there was practically nothing for the boy to do. He would have called Kim, but he was afraid of being too clingy, or too anything really. This whole imprinting thing just seemed like a huge mess, to love someone you don’t really know, it was stupid, he would rebel, but it wasn’t like he could step outside and shout at his ancestors. He shoved a hand through his hair, maybe she would just come over, turn up and save him from resorting to baking. Jared stretched; his long wiry muscles were stiff from sitting for so long.
Jared groaned as he lifted himself from the couch, shoved a hand through his hair and went in search for a book, or something…long fingers reached for the phone, his fingers curled in the air in an attempt to stop from calling her. With a flick of his wrist the phone was at his ear and ringing, he sighed, defeated.

Kim was in the garden helping her mother with the flowers, only her mother wasn't really doing anything. Her mother was inside now, fighting with her father about moving else where so Kim's mom could have even a bigger garden. Kim thought her mother's garden was already big enough as it was but if it made her mother happy, so be it. She knew her parents wouldn't move out of La Push, so it was good news. She merely wished her parents would stop fighting for once and just get along with everyone else. Kim rolled her eyes and stood up from the garden looking at her mother and father fight through the window. Kim sighed and walked inside ignoring her parents comebacks at each other. She walked up the stairs and decided to take a small shower. Working in the garden takes a lot of time on your hands. She stripped herself from her clothing and got into the shower. Shortly after, she got out and she dried herself and placed a towel around her body. She then walked into her room closing her door and throwing her towel on the bed. She opened her closet and took out jeans and a t-shirt and of course her underwear and bra. She slipped her clothing on and just when she was about to leave her room, her cell phone turned off and she looked excited hoping that it was Jared. She ran over to her cell phone, which was on the bed. She picked it up and threw herself on the bed. She looked down and a smile appeared on her face. It was him. She didn't want to seem to eager so she waited until the fourth ring and she pressed the talk button and she placed it to her ear. "Hello?" she asked hoping it was his voice. She never removed her smile off her face.

Her voice sent waves of calm through Jared’s body, a breath he hadn’t realized he was holding escaped his lips before he could reply. “Hey.” He said gruffly, it always amazed his mother how every sense of character dissolved from the boy once he was speaking through the telephone. He ran a hand through his hair and tried to sound more… alive. “Do you want to come over?” He had meant to make some small talk, he just couldn’t really think of anything to say. Kim hadn’t mentioned she was doing anything exciting this weekend and he wanted to see her, hearing her voice like dangling spirits in front of an alcoholic. Dark blue tinged eyes searched the house, he hoped it would be clean enough, she hadn’t really been here before, at least not for longer than a few minutes or so. Jared didn’t really like staying at his house especially when his mother was there. It was barely big enough for her and her giant wolf of a son, let alone guests. But when the house was empty it always seemed too big. With Kim here maybe this place would finally feel like home, he always felt more comfortable when she was around

Kim felt like all the oxygen in the room was leaving and she was rather thrilled to have Jared talking to her on the phone. She was always happy to hear his voice and she never would want to hear anyone else. If she could get away from her parents and to stay with Jared, she would have loved it very much than to rather stay here with her parents that had been fighting very often. "Hey Jared." she answered, sounding eager. She shook her head when she realized she spoke too eager. She hoped he wouldn't notice. "I would love to come over." she sounded cheerfully. She really was happy to see what Jared had in store for today. She was always happy to see him and she was even more thrilled to finally see his home. She picked up her keys and started to head out. She then stopped when she was in the hall way. She didn't want to seem to excited. "You want me to go now?" she asked softly with a smile hoping he would say yes.

The corners of Jared’s eyes creased in a silent smile as she answered. Kim sounded almost as eager as he was and he could have sworn he had heard the jangle of keys. ‘Well yes, of course I do woman’ almost escaped his lips as she asked the obvious question, but they were both playing the nonchalant game and he wasn’t about to loose. “Obviously” he scoffed instead, a grin in his voice. His fingers itched to get off the phone, “I’ll see you soon.” flicked the phone onto the kitchen bench and scanned the house. It was clean enough; there was a blanket on the couch where Jared had been sleeping and a few dishes in the sink, nothing he couldn’t fix in a minute or two. Long legs carried him over to the TV, he searched through the cabinet to find a few movies she might like to watch. In a second they were on the coffee table and he was doing the dishes, the blanket folded on the couch. He still couldn’t get used to how fast he got things done these days. It made waiting so much more tedious.

Kim smiled widely at his answer. "Alright see ya." she answered and closed her cell phone. She placed the phone in her back pocket and she grabbed a jacket before walking down the stairs. Her parents stared at her as they heard her and they asked where she was going. "Im going to a friends house." she answered knowing that if she had a boy's house they would have hold her back and keep her from going. She kept on walking and walked up to her car opening the driver's door. She sat inside and turned the car on with her keys and she placed the car in drive. She pushed her foot on the gas and the car drove out of the driver way. Kim didn't notice her parents looking after her through the window as she disappeared from sight. She kept on driving, not to slow or not to fast. She didn't want to get a ticket after all. She drove for ten minutes till she reached his house and she parked into the driveway. She killed the engine then she stepped out of her car placing her keys in her front right pocket and she closed the door. She made her way towards the front door and she gave a soft knock on the door.

Long legs sprung towards the front door, he chucked the tea towel on the bench next to the clean dishes and opened the door. Jared grinned as the door pulled open to reveal her, Kim, finally. It hadn’t been so long since he had first seen her like this, last year maybe, just saw her in school and his whole world had changed. It was all protection of humans from bloodsuckers and Kim. It was a radical change of lifestyle, but he had a purpose now, he had a reason to stay in LaPush. Dark blue tinged eyes looked at his reason. He reached out, one hand crabbed her arm the other wrapped around her back and pulled her over the threshold. Jared held her there in a hug, she made every inch of his body relax. “Hello kid.” With that he let her go and pulled the door shut behind her. With a sigh he turned back to face her, hoping she wasn’t feeling awkward or anything.

Kim smiled widely as he had opened the door. She stood there looking at his face and she could have sworn she felt like she was going to melt just by looking at him. Kim allowed him to pull her inside and she smiled at him. She hugged him back with a smile. "Hello to you to Jared." she said back and let go of him. She looked at Jared with that same smile and her eyes darted around the room. She noticed all the art on the wall. She liked art but she wasn't a huge fan of drawing and painting herself. "Thats really nice artwork on the wall." she said then looked into Jared eyes. She knew this was something she could write about all day. She just was amazed with the house she had just stepped in and she hoped she could come more here, she really did like Jared.

Jared chuckled as she complimented the art that plagued the walls, “They’re my mothers, its everywhere in this house.” He shrugged and reached out to grab her wrist. His skin was probably ten times hotter than hers but the feel of her skin bumped the temperature even higher. Jared towed Kim through the hall and into the kitchen, dining and lounge room. The house had always resembled a studio apartment, expect that there was an extra story which held the bedrooms and bath. “So… what were you doing before I interrupted?” Jared pulled Kim’s small form into his arms, his thumb played with the arch of her nose and before she could answer the boy pressed his lips against hers, he hadn’t intended to, but there it was. He wrapped his arm around her waist and pulled her closer into the kiss. Then, he was gone, in the kitchen, the warmth of her lips still on his.
He would have to get some sort of hold on himself, if he acted like that the entire time he might have to shoot himself. It was sickly sweet and the temptation would drive him mad. Jared pulled open the fridge searching for something to occupy his hands. “You hungry?” he asked without looking at her.

"It looks really nice." she said looking at the art work on the wall. She then felt his hot hand on her skin and she looked up at him. She followed him looking around at the artwork amazed by how much artwork there actually was, but Kim was enjoying looking at it on the walls. It brought life in the house and Kim wished she could have at least one piece of artwork in her home, but her father hated it for some reason, so the walls were hanging with family photos instead of actually paintings. She looked as Jared as he had pulled her closer and she looked into his eyes. She felt weak at the moment as she stared at him and she felt like her knees were going to give out but she fought the urge to fall so she stand up straight looking into his eyes. She watched him move closer to her lips and once she felt his warm lips on hers, she instantly kissed him back. Then when he pulled away, she gave a soft frown but then it disappeared and she followed him into the kitchen. "Not really. Do you want me to cook you something?" she asked. She didn't mind cooking, she did like it after all, along with baking.

Jared grinned at her offer. “I was going to offer to cook for you.” he chuckled “But sure, if you want to cook, go ahead.” It was a strange time for dinner, five in the afternoon, the sun would start going down in around an hour, he could wait until then. Then again, how long would it take to make something, he could go some lasagna. Jared’s stomach grumbled quietly, he frowned hoping she wouldn’t hear and feel like she had to make him something. This werewolf thing made him ravenous, all the time, his stomach was a bottomless pit. He stepped a little closer to Kim, just admiring, this imprinting thing turned him into some sort of puppy, it made him a little sick.
“Life good? How are the parents?” Long fingers reached out to play with a strand of Kim’s hair, it was still a little damp and smelled amazing to him. His senses were heightened even as a human, it had taken him some time to get used to but now he liked being able to identify people by their smell. “Have you seen ‘Amelie’?”

"I don't mind cooking for you."she answered, a twinkle in her eyes as she looked at him with a small smile. She enjoyed cooking and she used to cook every night when her mother didn't know how. Now since her mother did know, Kim just cooked for herself or her father if her mother was away on her job. Kim looked up at him with a small smile. "What would you like me to do for you?" she asked wondering what he wanted her to cook for him. She didn't mind cooking for him. She blushed when he had touched her hair then she answered him. "Life's fair. I'm not complaining." she answered with a small content smile on her lips. "How about you?" she asked wondering herself. She frowned slightly when he asked about her parents. "Just the same." she answered shaking her head. Her parents were fighting a lot and Kim was used to it. But she manged. "How is your mom?" she asked wondering the same. She knew his father left him a long time ago and she never brought him up knowing it might be a touchy subject. Kim never liked seeing him hurt. Kim shook her head. "I haven't seen her." she answered with a small frown. "Is something wrong?" she asked worried.
